Faro Airport is the gateway to the gorgeous Algarve region of Portugal; the dazzling stretch of coastline along the southern edge of the country. The modern, single-terminal facility is just west of the city of Faro and handles about four million passengers every year through numerous charter airlines and scheduled services.

Public buses run from the airport to Faro city centre as does the airport shuttle, Aerobus; there is a timetable near the information desk detailing bus departure times. In addition, many passengers who have hotels booked will often be provided with free airport coach transfers, while taxis are readily available for fast transport.
